Bonuses
This time around I’m giving away two super-cool bonuses.
- BONUS #1: 5 Personal recruiting consultations with me ($200-$300 value).
- BONUS #2: 50 Copies of The 300 400 Investment Banking Interview Questions & Answers You Need to Know – Unreleased 2nd Edition ($47 value).
5 Personal Recruiting Consultations ($200-$300 Value)
This means you get to speak with me on the phone for 1 hour about your own recruiting situation, how best to network, and ask any questions you have.
I don’t even do consulting anymore because I just don’t have the time – but when I did, a 1-hour mock interview would have run $200+.
Selection for this will be random although you can tip the odds in your favor by sending me a really good story explaining your background and why you need this more than others.
This must be limited to 5 people because I don’t have time for more than that.
50 Copies of The 300 400 Investment Banking Interview Questions & Answers You Need to Know – Unreleased 2nd Edition ($47 value)
In addition, I’ll also be giving away 50 free copies of the unreleased version of the next interview guide.
I don’t know how many questions and answers there will be yet, but there will be at least 300 and possibly 400 rather than the 200 in the original version.
The additions in here are covered in no other interview guide:
- 50 Restructuring / Distressed M&A questions and answers.
- Dozens of more advanced technical questions – Did you know the terminal value formula changes depending on the mid-year discount you use and whether or not you have a stub period? Better get this guide…
- How to discuss deal experience – Perfect if you worked in investment banking full-time or had an internship.
This guide will not even be available to customers who purchased the original guide until December.
If you sign up for The Networking Ninja Toolkit 2.0 before Friday, October 16th you’re eligible to win one of these 50 free copies and get a leg-up over everyone else with questions and answers that you just can’t find anywhere else.
Selection for this one will also be random to ensure fairness. I don’t want anyone staying up all-night just to be one of the first 50 to sign up.
If you win, you will be notified next weekend (October 17th-18th) and you’ll get the download and access instructions then.
What Now?
Read the full course outline right here.
Questions? Comments? Ask away.
And see you on Monday.

Really quick yes/no question: is it okay to round GPA from 3.61 to 3.7, considering background checks?
Also, I wanted to let you know that your investment banking interview guide was extremely helpful. Thanks!!
You can probably get away with it, but why bother? 3.6 vs. 3.7 makes 0 difference. I would just leave it as 3.6
I just wanted to be able to make any 3.7 cutoffs during resume drops. Unless that’s not something to worry about?
The cut is 3.5 at most banks, so I wouldn’t worry much about it. 3.4 and 3.5 seem very different but 3.6 and 3.7, less so.
I’d prefer to stay up all night to sign for it rather then wait for luck :)
Be my guest. :)
hey im from australia… are there even any investment banking jobs in brisbane? or will I need to move to melbourne or sydney.
There are some in Brisbane, but the bulk of the jobs are definitely in Melbourne / Sydney so I would definitely consider those locations as well.
Wow. Nice work Brian.
once a banker, always a banker…
Banker mentality never leaves sadly… Working overnight seems like a normal thing. Working overnight a few days seems ok… Then it takes about a few weeks of bad nights to think things are finally looking bad.
Tell me about it. I constantly feel the need to work, hence all the updates and new products/sites lately. I guess that’s a good thing for everyone reading, though…
It seems quite interesting to me. However, I am more focused on S&T. Would the IB thing a fit for me as well? Thx!
It’s still applicable to you – networking does not change much between IB and S&T. Of course the bonus next edition interview guides won’t be applicable, but that’s separate from the networking course.
Hey Brian,
I just purchased the guide (at 12:10am ET), I hope I wasn’t too late to be eligible for all the cool bonuses.
Thanks!
Hey you should be fine – will let you know by Sunday after everything is sorted out (and after I finish writing the new guide :).
Do you know when i’ll receive my logins?
You should have received instructions to log into the site when you signed up – did you not get an email with the instructions?
If not, email me (accounts@breakingintowallstreet.com) with the email address you signed up with and I will make an account for you and send the instructions.
Hi Brian,
How can an international student break into a US investment bank? As far as I know, most banks don’t even sponsor visa.I am currently a senior business student in Indiana.
Thanks a lot!
Some banks do sponsor visas but I do not know how the process works nor am I lawyer so I can’t give specific advice there – the largest banks that have already repaid TARP should not be an issue, having an internship definitely helps with that as they will be more likely to sponsor you.
Hi Brian,
Does the toolkit contain any info about REIB boutiques or REPE firms? I’ve been having trouble finding firms for internships next summer.
Thanks
This post was from several years ago but yes I believe there are real estate-related ones in the Toolkit… gets updated each year or so.
Do you have a database with list of Proprietary trading firms, Boutique/Middle Market Traditional Long only Asset Managers, Management Consultants, Economic Consultants, Market Research firms?
Not yet, but you can always create one yourself using internet resources
