Resume Review Service

I’m pleased to announce a new resume review service, launching on Mergers & Inquisitions this morning.

Over the past few months, I’ve received countless requests to review readers’ resumes.

However, due to my schedule at work, maintaining and updating this site, and working on other projects, I have been unable to respond to most readers in a timely fashion. And when I do respond I can only take a quick 5-minute look at the resume and provide only basic comments on what to fix.

Instead of responding to requests for resume critiques in a 2-3 weeks, my new service will allow me to respond in 3-5 days.

And I can actually give detailed, line-by-line feedback on what needs fixing, rather than just saying, “Looks good!” or “Be more specific and quantify what you do more!”

Read more about my new resume review service.

Just wanted to let all prospective bankers know that the resume comments he provides are top notch and specific. I was lucky enough to receive comments regarding my own resume a few months ago and I strongly believe that the modifications I changed (esp. regarding wording my previous experiences) played a huge factor in the number of first round interviews I received for SA positions (9 first round interviews, non-ivy league). My roommate, on the other hand, with a 3.94 GPA received no first round interviews.

Translating these first round interviews to an offer is a completely different story though….I’d gladly pay any amount of money for that to happen haha.

Well thanks for the testimonial, Justin. Yeah you were one of the first resumes I reviewed on this site. Glad I was able to help with the revisions.

I’ve thought about doing interview consulting as well, but no way I have time to do that now in addition to everything else I’m doing. Maybe I’ll think about that for the 2008-2009 recruiting season after I’m done with banking…

I will be going through the 2008-2009 full-timy analyst recruiting season come September, and I will definitely NO DOUBT ABOUT IT do the resume service you provide. I just recently found your site, and am going through every single article one by one starting from December, and I have rest of Feb to the one you uploaded today to read – so excited!!! If you do the interview consulting as well, I will definitely do that too if I get interviews.

Am I late to the party? The link to read more about the resume review service seems to come up blank. This is definitely something I’d like to take advantage of if possible

Yeah, this is from 1.5 years ago… no longer being offered but I may bring it back later.
