Here’s the Deal… Breaking Into Wall Street Full Course Outline, Release Date, and Price
This won’t come as news to those who have signed up for the announcement list, but for everyone else: we’re going live on Monday, April 20th, 2009 at 9 AM EST.
In the video below, I walk you through exactly what the program includes, what you get when you sign up, and yes, I also tell you what the price is (for the first week where we’re giving a big discount… and what it will be afterward for “the general public”).
If you don’t like to watch/listen, you can download the full course outline outline and offer right here:
Breaking Into Wall Street – Outline & Offer
If you’re just tuning in now and you missed everything else we announced leading up to today, you can check out the blog and all the videos right here.
You can see exactly how 3 customers from completely different backgrounds used the program to win banking and PE offers, and you can see their comments and feedback directly via the emails and IMs they sent me.
My favorite part of everything above was how one university student called to ask Wall Street Prep for a refund even though it was 3 AM when we spoke… still not quite sure how she pulled that one off (but in case you’re wondering, it worked and she got her money back).
See you on Monday.
And if you still have any questions after watching, listening to, and reading everything, go ahead and ask away.

Good work Brian, all do, I have som questions:
1. Will the site be continuously updated or is this the end product?
2. How long will the membership account last (permanent/temporary)?
3. You repeatedly mention “we”, “us” and “support staff” in your videos, how many people are involved in Breaking into Wall Street?
4. How will the future of M&I look like? I understand that you’re using your audience of this site as your marketing customer database in this launching period of yours, but will M&I go back to publishing insightful articles on IB and finance again?
Sincerely
V
1. Yes there will be updates.
2. As I said in the videos and documents, lifetime access.
3. The people on the About page on this site as well as assistants who help with administrative and support issues.
4. We’ve been publishing insightful articles on finance all during this launch phase (for example, there were 2 length articles not related to this topic published on Monday and Wednesday this week) and will continue to do so afterward.
Brian,
This doesn’t seem too useful for someone interning in restructuring?
You use the same modeling/valuation skills in Restructuring that you use in other fields within banking… so if you don’t know that 100%, then it will be helpful.
Now, right now there isn’t a topic specifically -on- Restructuring but again that is something that can be added if there is enough demand.
The litmus test comes down to this: Can you build a 3-statement model, full valuation, DCF, merger, and LBO model starting from a blank page with no outside assistance?
If not, then this will help you… if you can do all that, then you won’t learn much here.
Great product! I can tell you’ve put a lot of thought into it.
3 questions:
1) Would real estate be a topic you’d consider adding if there were enough demand?
2) From your experiences, do you anticipate there being enough demand?
3) Calibri? Really? :)
1) Yes, definitely. In fact I’ve gotten 3 requests for it already.
2) I think I will add real estate material to the course later this year – it probably won’t be immediately, but there’s a lot of interest in it and it’s definitely one of the more specialized fields.
3) Ok, fine, I’ll change it to Arial next time. :)
$147?…really?
Whoa…
Kevin told me it was terribly under-priced too, I might have made a mistake :(
Do we really need to wait till Monday? =| this is worse than a cock tease….
Yes, I’m not 100% done yet! (shh don’t tell anyone)
whoa… i’m definitely interested but am in the middle of studying for level 3 CFA right now…
You can sign up now and just access it later… it comes with lifetime access and upgrades.
Brian,
I can’t wait to access this incredible learning tool early next week. I plan on going through the information thoroughly prior to beginning training this summer (full time investment banking analyst – class of ’09). The information contained on this website was pivotal throughout my entire recruitment process and is highly recommended to all aspiring analysts or associates.
Thanks, glad to hear it – hope you find everything helpful!
Hey Brian,
I sent you an e-mail with some suggestions…. have you got that???
Just wondering…
Tks.
Yes I did – I am reviewing everything tonight and will let everyone know tomorrow morning. I got a ton more responses than expected so it will take a few hours to go through everything.
Hey Brian,
Formerly from a valuations group. Have to say this is really in-depth and lifetime access is a good deal. I will be holding you to it. =)
p.s. +1 to real estate coverage in the future.
Well it would be pretty hard to change that part after the fact… still, point taken. :)
can i still get the ninja toolkit?
The first 50 were gone on the first day (within the first hour…), but you still get the toolkit if you have signed up for other products/services here, or if you sign up at some point before Friday.
Brian,
Do you intend adding restructuring specific stuff? Would appreciate a quick response as I would like to take advantage of the 147 offer.
I do want to add Restructuring material, but it won’t be immediate – first addition will be Excel shortcuts, so Restructuring and other topics would be coming later this year.
I know it’s still early, but will you have some restructuring analyst help you on this? I just wanted to get a sense of the nature of the material, would it be a general overview or something that will be good enough for a full time analyst?
Keep up the good work.
The idea would be to walk through a company in a distressed/restructuring situation and show how to create projections and value it and how everything would be different, including different methodologies… same format of Excel in first-person.
And yes, I would consult additional sources and have someone who did Restructuring help.
As far as whether or not it’s “good enough” for a full-time Analyst: well, there are always things in the real-world that no training program can address (e.g. bank-specific conventions), but this would at least give you an idea of the major points and allow you to start out knowing more than anyone else.
Can your server handle everyone accessing this large videos? Even your introductory video is loading a little slow.
There were some delays the first few days but should be working fine now… I will double check with the tech support team though.
hey admin, so if i sign up for this breaking into wallstreet thing be4 friday even tho im not first 50, i can still qualify for ninja tool?
Since the first 50 have been given out, at this point you would get it if you also bought the interview guide or resume editing / mock interview services… since the offer was for existing customers, or the first 50.
“The first 50 were gone on the first day (within the first hour…), but you still get the toolkit if you have signed up for other products/services here, or if you sign up at some point before Friday.”
you mentioned signing up for other products here, OR “sign up at some point before friday”.
what is the friday option that you speak of since you already referred the resume/products/services as another option already?
If you sign up for the training program and one of the other options here (the interview guide would be the cheapest) before Friday you will get the networking materials as a free bonus.
Hi Brian, is the special offer still available, or do I need to wait for round 2? Thanks
doug1022@yahoo.com
Doug, the deadline was April 25th but you can still sign up for the course, just at a higher price. I won’t sell it at the early bird price again, but I may re-launch the service in 2010 with added content and features.
Could you explain what you meant by re-launch in 2010 and lifetime membership? Does re-launch meant this resource will be unavailable sometime later on? If I sign up now, will I have the additional resources added in the re-launch?
Jack: If you sign up now, everything will still be available to you and everything we add in the future will be available to you at no extra charge.
By “re-launch” I just meant that I may do another promotion for it next year (similar to what I did this year) after I’ve added additional content and resources and tweaked it based on feedback.
Is there any news on a relaunch? I’m very interested in your products but $247 is a bit steep for my current financial situation. If there will be promotions this year (or bonuses) sign me up.
Jameson
Re-launching at the end of April 2010, but the total price for everything (there’s now roughly 10x as much material) will be going up after that.
We will be making modules (Excel, Fundamentals, Advanced) available separately and Excel and Fundamentals will be less than the current $247 price, but the entire package will be higher than the existing price.
1. So you’re saying purchasing the package now at $247 is the best decision since I’ll get free updates to all the new content being added (which will now be packaged separately)?
Essentially, if I purchase the entire package now, will I get updates to ALL modules in later updates?
2. Is there any package where I can get all three products for a discount (Interview guide, modeling training, and networking ninja)?
Thanks for your answers.
1. Yes, if you sign up now you will get a much better deal as well as all future updates (e.g. industry-specific modeling later this year into next).
Now if you ONLY want the Fundamentals (interview-prep portion) or ONLY the Excel portion then it’s better to wait. But if you want everything, you will get a better deal now.
2. Yes, see question #3 on the FAQ page right here:
http://breakingintowallstreet.com/biws/faq/
What parts of this program would you say are useful for consulting (if any)? If not, what resources would you point me towards? Thanks so much in advance.
Kevin
Honestly nothing here is relevant for consulting – you just don’t use accounting/finance/modeling in the same way, if at all, in consulting. It’s much more qualitative and dependent on the specific project you’re working on. There aren’t really any “prep” materials for consulting because it’s more about general analytical skills rather than the specifics of accounting and finance.
